By this time, the Living City campaign had switched to 3rd Edition D&D rules, and I did know a group that would use monster stat block templates and polymorph spells to bump their combat abilities by being polymorphed into giants. I went along with them once, but my character was small, so it didn't work the same for me. They paid to have my character polymorphed into a troll. I did not do that twice.
