This
is outside the venue of this strip. There was an issue on the news
about Jesse Ventura taking a newspaper to court over the use of his
image. Since he had voluntarily run for and been elected to public
office, it seemed to me that he had forfeited his rights for control
over the use of his image. Imagine if a politician could say "no, I
don't want you running that story about me" or "You cannot publish a
political cartoon with my likeness in it." It sort of defeats the whole
purpose of free speech.
